Welcome to Port Stephens

Port Stephens Pickleball Club warmly welcomes visiting players to Nelson Bay. Whether you're here on holiday or just passing through the region, we'd love to have you join us on the courts.

We're known as a friendly, social club. Expect a warm welcome and plenty of encouragement whatever your level, and don't be surprised if a weekend session ends with a coffee, nibbles, or a trip to the local tavern together.

Before you arrive

Download the OpenSports app before you get to the venue. Mobile reception at our courts is patchy, so it's much easier to sort out in advance.

Once you've registered and logged in, search for "Port Stephens Pickleball Club" within the app to find our sessions and start booking.

Booking and paying to play is done entirely through OpenSports, even as a guest.

Please note

Player limits apply at our indoor venues, and outdoor sessions may be reduced or cancelled due to weather. Check OpenSports for the latest availability before you head out.

Guest play rules

Already a member of Pickleball NSW or Pickleball Australia?

If you hold a current National ID Number with PANSW or PAA, you're welcome to play at any of our sessions.

Not sure if your registration is current? Check your status with the National ID Number finder.

Not yet registered with PANSW or PAA?

You're welcome to play up to three times as a guest, using a player waiver provided when you sign up and pay for your session on OpenSports. This covers our insurance obligations while you're playing with us.

After your third visit, you'll need to join Port Stephens Pickleball Club and PANSW to keep playing. Fees and the registration process are on our membership page.

We play at two venues in Salamander Bay, an easy stop if you're driving in:

As a guest, you're welcome to book into almost all of our sessions through OpenSports. If you spot one you can't book into, just get in touch and we'll help you sort it out.
